Trauma-Informed Psychotherapy
NARM® Therapy with Mia Amini
NARM® (the NeuroAffective Relational Model) is a body-based, present-focused psychotherapy for complex and developmental trauma. Instead of re-telling the traumatic story, NARM works with the nervous system, identity and the survival patterns formed in early relationships. Mia Amini is a Certified NARM® Practitioner and offers sessions online and in Frederiksberg.

Mia's approach
My work is grounded in NARM®, attachment theory and Emotion-Focused Therapy. We move slowly, build safety first, and stay curious about the survival patterns your nervous system learned. Sessions are warm, direct and non-pathologising, you won't be reduced to a diagnosis.

Frequently asked questions
- What is NARM therapy?
- NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model) is a body-based, present-focused psychotherapy developed by Dr Laurence Heller for complex and developmental trauma. It works with the nervous system, identity and the relational patterns that formed early in life.
- How is NARM different from talk therapy?
- Traditional talk therapy often focuses on insight and history. NARM stays with what is alive in the present moment, including bodily experience, identity distortions and survival strategies, so change happens at the root, not only at the level of story.
- Is NARM right for me?
- NARM is especially suited to people with complex trauma, developmental trauma or long-standing relational and self-worth difficulties. A Discovery Call is the best way to see if it's a good fit for your situation.
- Do you offer NARM online?
- Yes. Online NARM sessions work well for clients across Denmark and worldwide. In-person sessions are available in Frederiksberg when there is availability.
- How long does NARM therapy take?
- Complex trauma rarely heals in a handful of sessions. Most clients work in packages of 4, 8 or 12 sessions and continue based on what they need.
